I just completed my first Hemp String bag - check it out here . It is the "Everlasting Bagstopper" pattern on Knitty.com. Fun, easy and yippee I finally used the hemp I bought a year ago (almost to the day!)
I also found out that hemp has natural antimildew and antimicrobial properties which is kind of cool - maybe a good fiber to knit up some dishclothes.

I still haven't knit mine yet...perhaps that should be my next project!
I'd stopped knitting for several weeks, but the stress of my relaunched, temp work-free job search has led me to start again. I've been doing squares for charity blankets from heavy, bulky yarn that I really wasn't going to use for anything else. Squares will be much easier to move.
