Now that I'm back from Tennessee (Dollywood was involved), here are some pictures:
This is me and one of the most amazing women in the world.
Current progress on the Minimalist Cardigan: so far, so good.
The herringbone stitch scarf for my brother. Shhhhhh, don't tell him!
A hat I made for my roommate's girlfriend.
My Two-Toned Shrug just needs the ends woven in. I've been too lazy to do that.
My first finished sweater! The Shopping Tunic from Twinkle's Big City Knits took fewer than four days to knit. Lots of mods--here's what the original looks like:
See why I changed it?
Finished Danica. I gave it to my sister-in-law this weekend, and she loved it!
The bloody thing is longer than my couch!
Not true to the yarn color (damn flash), but you can see the detail really well here.

That first picture, by the way, is my mamaw (otherwise known as my grandmother).
So, the funniest thing ever happened at Dollywood:
My youngest niece Madison was with us (she's almost 4), and at some point during the day she had gotten a blood blister on her middle finger. My sister-in-law noticed and told her to "show it to Daddy," and she flipped him off. Of course she didn't realize what she was doing, and because Mom and I couldn't stop laughing she started randomly flipping people off, thinking she was being cute. Too bad I can't get away with stuff like that!
The White Stripes have canceled all tour dates through the year's end, which makes me sad...but Mr. Neil Young is playing Chicago in November! Tickets go on sale Saturday, and I'm over the moon about it needless to say.
How's life been for you, Noelle? How's life for anyone else who's reading?
